The right
job

App-Store App-Store

Companies in Saxony, as well as the universities themselves, are on the lookout for people like you. Whether they find you or not depends on where they advertise and where you look for information. To give you a quick overview, all the important information is clearly displayed on the online job boards. And if you need help: Ask the staff at your Careers Service.

Company job portals

They might be referred to as a job or careers portal, or a job exchange, but they all mean the same thing. They are the interface between companies and students. And to help you find your way through the myriad of job offers, the online portals offer all kinds of filters — for example you can search by location, your qualifications, or the profile of the company. In addition to jobs for career starters, you’ll also be able to find offers for working students and internships.

Back to the Careers Service

Too much on offer, not enough clarity? The Careers Service at your university can also help you here. Let the staff on site show you how to make the job portals work for you and which offers are suitable.

Doctorate or job?

All universities also advertise their own jobs. These range from training as a microtechnologist at TU Dresden to becoming a professor of theoretical computer science at Leipzig University. Most of them distinguish between positions for academic and non-academic staff. The latter are mainly jobs in administration or technical services. The former, on the other hand, can be vacancies for research assistants or doctoral candidates.
